British singer, songwriter, producer, and multi-instrumentalist Mia Ardinez takes this approach in her upcoming alternative EP. An introvert at heart, Mia’s expression began through art and evolved through music. Born to a European family, with some roots in Spain, her multi-cultural influences have shaped her musical and lyrical style. Ardinez trained as a classical pianist and has since achieved a master's degree in songwriting.

 

Ardinez’s debut EP Mia Ardinez, showcases her versatility as a musician and songwriter, created as a result of a challenge to write in a variety of genres. This combination of styles and dark lyrical themes was a success, gaining her local radio play (BBC Introducing, Surrey Hills, etc.) and playlisting.

 

Mia’s current project is experimental; combining powerhouse-influenced vocals with heavy rock backing. Drawing from her eclectic range of influences, this EP infuses the heavier rock sounds of Evanescence, Paramore and Maggie Lindemann. Inspired by her Iberian heritage, Ardinez is weaving Latin flavours such as Spanish guitars into her music, giving this fusion of genres a modern lease of life.
